FAO PARENTS OF CHILDREN IN RANGANNA 1,2,3,4 &7
Following on from my communication earlier this evening, I can confirm that a child in Rang 6 has tested positive for Covid-19.
I have consulted with the PHA this evening and they have advised that all pupils in Rang 5 should remain at home tomorrow, to faciliatate a 'deep clean' of that mobile.
All children in Rang 6 should immediately self isolate for a period of two weeks.
The PHA have re-assured me that due to our strict 'bubble' formation, where children do not mix with children in other classes, the children in Ranganna 1,2,3,4 &7 are safe to continue to attend school as normal.
The child is only mildly unwell and we send them our best wishes on behalf of all in our school community. I ask you all to respect the privacy of this family at this time.
I was teaching the Rang 6 class on Friday and have therefore been instructed by the PHA to self-isolate for two weeks. I will be available via e mail every day from 9am-4pm on gaelscoilaodharua@yahoo.ie
