PASTORAL ARRANGEMENTS FOR SCHOOL RETURN
We are delighted to announce that children in all classes (Rang 2-6) will all be returning to the class teacher that they had last year from Tues 1st - Fri 4th Sept. We believe that many children may find the return to school somewhat daunting and in order to ease their tranistion back to school, we want them to return to something that they are familiar with. We also feel that it is important to them that we bring 'closure' to the school year which ended so abruptly in March.
The children will spend their first few days back at school with their previous teacher and we will have a small celebration in each class on the Friday to bring 'closure' to the old school year. Monday 7th September will be our 'MOVING UP DAY' where each class will graduate into the next year group and meet their new teacher.
The emotional well-being of our pupils will be our main priority in the early weeks of our return to school, as we emerge from this unprecedented period in all of our lives.
Our new Rang 1 pupils will also be returning to the Naíscoil for three days beginning Tuesday 1st Sept and will commence Rang 1 on Tuesday 8th September - a specific post regarding new Rang 1 arrangements will follow. We will be operating a staggered arrival and collection system to avoid crowding at the school gates / carpark in the first week - details & timetable to folllow shortly.
