RANG 1 NUA / NEW RANG 1 PUPILS
INDUCTION
Parents and children of the new Rang 1 class will be invited to visit the Rang 1 classroom and to meet Múinteoir Clíona & Múinteoir Áine on Friday 28th August. There will be a maximum of 4/5 families in each induction session - individual times to follow.
TRANSITION
The pupils in our new Rang 1 class will return to NAÍSCOIL on Tuesday 1st September for three days. We feel that it is important for them to have closure to their time in the Naíscoil and there will be a small in-class celebration of their achievements on Thursday. Carmel, Cáit and Áine are looking forward to seeing all the children and will be helping them prepare for their move to Rang 1 at Gaelscoil Aodha Rua. Children can wear their own clothes during these three days and will attend Naíscoil from 9-11.30am.
MOVING TO RANG 1
Our new Rang 1 pupils will begin their educational journey here at Gaelscoil Aodha Rua on Tuesday 8th September @9.30am. Parents and children will be invited to attend a short welcoming ceremony in the school yard (weather permitting) on their first day, that will last about 15 mins.
TIMETABLE
Pupils in Rang 1 will attend school from 9am to 12 noon every day until the end of September. From 1st October onwards, the children will remain at school until 1.45pm. School dinners / lunches will not be available for Rang 1 until they are staying for the full day and details of these will follow before 1st Oct. All children will need to bring a healthy snack and a re-fillable bottle of water to school every day - details of our healthy eating & allergy policy will follow in our induction sessions.
We look forward to welcoming you and your child to the Gaelscoil Aodha Rua community!
